the problem.
Bad memory can also cause the problem (but that wasn't my
problem). To test memory, download a memory test program
from http://www.memtest86.com. Create a boot floppy with
their install program and boot your computer with it.
A good memory module is made by Crucial (affiliated with
Micron). They have a website.
