View Full Version : I dropped my laptop

I have Windows XP installed on my Compaq laptop. Tuesday
morning I tried turning it on and I got a black screen
asking me to restart under safe mode, last known good
configuration or other modes. When that did not work I
tried the Quick Restore CD's that came with the computer.
However, when I inserted them in the drive I got a
message to either Abort, Retry or Fail. Nothing happened.
How could I have fixed this. I ask how I could because I
was so frustruated I slammed my computer on the floor.
I'm scared to turn it on now.
Thanks
Everardo

Greetings --
You'll need to contact Compaq to arrange sending in the laptop for
repair. Naturally, you'll have to have a valid credit card in hand
when making the arrangements, as Compaq's warranty doesn't cover
temper tantrums.

Computers should be sold with a warning that they are VERY complicated ,
highly technical and usually a waste of space. I recommend jumping on it a
few more times to put it out of it's misery.
