can anyone help with a problem thats driving me mad?
In XP error log i have numerous daily entries for the
same problem, DESCRIPTION, as in the log. AMLI:ACPI BIOS
is attempting to write to an illegal IO port address
(0xcf8), which lies in the 0xcf8 - 0xcff protected
address range.this could lead to system instability.
Or as above but the IO port address is (0x70) which lies
in the 0x70 - 0x71 protected address range.
my system is very unstable and prone to daily freeze ups
as any one got any idea to the above or what component to
look at?. ive done virus scan but that shows up clean.
any help appreciated

This normally occurs if your BIOS has not been updated to the latest
version.
Check your BIOS / Motherboard makers website for an update.
