Hi,
I own a BenQ DVD player (16x). I use Windows XP Home
edition. My systems hangs when I do a fast forward in the
player software (WinDVD) or in Media Player. It cannot be
determined when it occurs, so I can do a forward and then
it hangs after a few times.
I have 2 HD's and a CDRW and a DVD player.
IDE1 -> HD1 + CDRW
IDE2 -> HD2 + DVD
(this setup is on purpose because I use video editing
software)
I use a Soundblaster Live card and a Asus GeForce4 TI 4200
videocard. I have also a Pinnacle editingcard installed
(Pinnacle 500).
I installed the latest terminator drivers from nVidia.
I installed the latest VIA chipset drivers.
I also have all crucial Windows updates.
Software that runs in the background:
McAfee Virusscan 7.00
Quicktime
Messenger 6
My system is a AMD1700+ with A-bit mobo, 512MB RAM.
I would welcome any suggestions.
Greetings
Erwin
