I recently had an issue with Windows XP which required to scramble for my
boot disks. To my dismay when I booted to a DOS prompt, I could not see any
of my disk partitions and therefore impossible to use recovery material
stored on these partitions.
What if anything can I add to my boot disks that will enable me to see my
hard drive partions in future?
I eventually got around the problem by restoring a Ghost image of the
c:drive......
Thanks

Peter

Have a look at the products sold by http://www.winternals.com.

There are also some floppy-disk distributions of Linux that will allow you
to access NTFS drives.
Check http://www.bootdisk.com for some of those. I used one to access and
change the password on a WinNT 4 Server I'd locked myself out of.
