View Full Version : Worm

My home computer starting shutting down and rebooting
several days ago - it is infested with the worm. I did a
search and found two files, "msblast.exe". When I tried to
delete them, I got a message that they could not be
deleted, and then they produced a third file by the same
name. So now, instead of two, I now have three files!
Now my computer runs continuously. I can't use it, nor can
I turn it off. I tried to download the Symantec remedy,
but my computer won't let me (that was when I could get it
to do something!)Now it is completely useless - there's
nothing on the screen but the screensaver -- no icons, no
start button -- nothing!!! The monitor won't turn on, and
the computer won't turn off. I am sending this email from
my office, because my home computer is completely
worthless!!
Is there anything I can do? Will I be able to use my home
computer in the future, or is it just junk now? Why didn't
Microsoft fix this? I was told they knew about it when
they created the software system, they just didn't want to
take the time to write software to prevent this from
happening. How terrible that consumers who have no other
choice but to use their software now have useless machines
at home - which they spent thousands of dollars on, and
now it's a total piece of unresponsive junk!!!
