No John, you aren't the only one with this problem. I've been banging
my head against the wall as well and I'm glad I ran into your post. I
have a pentium III machine with just the one parrallel port installed
like 99.99999% of all machines you find now. As probably the same as
you, I have a PCI/ISA motherboard and I have an old ISA card hard wired
to LPT2 I/O and IRQ settings. Like you, windoes 98se sees the card just
fine and my printer prints ok, but XP Pro can't find it to save it's
soul. There is an ISA / PCI bridge Reader at the LPT2 I/O Address and
nothing I do will delete it. I suppose I could use plug-n-play on the
card, or remap the I/O but the settings on the card are for an old
always been there LPT2 port setting. Why should I have to change it? I
hope more input on this thread continues, because working with .Net
without being able to print, at least for me, would be nice. Anyone
with ideas would be greatly appreciated.
