keyboard doesn't work

I upgraded to XP, also put in a new hard drive. My HP
keyboard doesn't work. On the back it says designed for
Microsoft ME & 98. But I have an old Packard Bell
keyboard that I'm using right now. Do I need to buy a new
keyboard?

If it works with Windows Me or 98, it will also works with XP. Maybe the
connector is bad, check to see if the pins in the connector are bended or
broken.
