No wonder I couldn't find it!

Trust the Americans to spell *dialler* with only one *l*

Gordon Bennet!

Who said I was an American, you dip****?

I don't know what screwed up version of the English language you use, =
but "dialer" (if even not in Windows) is spelt with one "l"!

Not in England it isn't!
(YES, I did check my dictionary (Collins) before replying...)

Zulu, pay no mind to Silly You, who is scheduled for pickup
by the Black Helicopter Squadron. After a year of
reprogramming and intense training at the User Detention
Center, he/she will be paroled to serve as an indentured MVP
for these newsgroups.

Now, Zulu, let's examine the legitimacy of your British
spelling heritage. If you are truly a citizen of a
Commonwealth nation, you should know exactly how many
Victoria Crosses were earned at Rorke's Drift during the
Great Zulu War.

Tell me Jimmy, what is "great" about the Zulu War, or any war for that =
matter?

I know, the beginning of the decline of the British Empire!

Yes, 11 out of a 140-man garrison! But only one "l" in
paroled is preferred by the American-English spell checker
in my Outlook Express. It actually corrected me on that!

The valor recognized at Rorke's Drift was actually
double-sided and is a British thing. In part, many Brits
would interpret "Great" as a tribute to their Zulu
adversaries. In recent American history, we tend to fight
adversaries that we can characterize as evil or criminal
such as Hitler, Hirohito's military oligarchy, Saddam
Hussein, Noriega, or Bin Laden. This Puritan psychology is
an American thing. Heaven help us if China evolves into a
democratic society that espouses human rights, because that
will ensure the swift decline of the American Empire.

I'm English-English...

Take care...

Stop, or you'll have me explaining how I won a trip to
Henley Regatta Week in '82, including guest privileges
behind the hedges at Remingham Club, simply because the
MacDonald's burger chain identified me as the only remaining
North American male who had not dated Margaret Trudeau!
