Network printer has offline status and I can't get it back online.
A Canon S520 running from a MiLAN P3720 Printer Server on TCP/IP to the
LAN. Installing the printer in WinXP Pro SP1a goes fine. I choose
the LAN Manager printer port and the port is named //FP1004B9/Parallel1.
There are times when I need to yank the network cable from my laptop. Once
I do this, the printer acquires an Offline status in the Printers and Faxes
window. When I re-insert the network cable, the printer does not come back
online, not even after a reboot.
I have to delete, then re-install the printer.
Any solution?
