I just bought a new cdrw (memorex 52x24x52) drive
yesterday, hooked it up and began buring an audio cd like
i have done a hundred times. only this time after i was
done it put it in my stereo and began to play it, and it
would stop on track 3, and skip. i thought there was
something wrong with my stereo so i put it in my stand
alone dvd player and it worked fine, i put it in my
cd/dvd drive in my computer and it didnt work either. so
i tried buring it a second, third and a fourth time and
the same thing happens.

i already updated roxio ECDC platinum and a new driver
the new cd/rw drive. does anyone out there now how to
this or now what im doning wrong.

thank you for you help

Try using WMP9 to burn CD's or contact Roixio for support.

Chris, a 52X write drive may be too fast for the CD-R you are using. Try
burning at a slower speed such as 40X or even slower. Make sure you are
using the proper speed disks or this can happen. You can use a 52X
certified CD-R in a 4X (yes four) drive but using a 40X disk in a 52X drive
can give exactly this problem.
