Dos program giving "Too many Files Open"

When I run Dos programs on my computer with Windows XP
system, I get the error message of "Too many files Open".
The Dos program is written in FOXPRO 2.6.

Greetings --

How many file handles does the application's documentation say are
required? Simply make the appropriate setting in the
C:\Windows\System32\Config.nt file.
