Failed mem in Windiag test - Advice

Hi,

My new clean format HD XP Pro install just reboots every now and then
and sometimes I get a serious error message panel. No mention of any
hard or soft problems tho'

I want to systematically go through all my hardware to eliminate
anything that is a problem

I have just run windiag to test memory and I get a couple of red
'Failed' during the test.

Do any Failed messages mean the stick is cactus or how do I read the
message ?

What about my CD drives ? Is there a program to test them ? Maybe a
program to really test everything?
