When I turn my computer on,it stops at the first phase of booting, the screen
telling you how much memory and the settings. It don't go beyond that point.I
tried to reinstall win xp,but its not reading the cd.What else can I do.
Thank you

It will only read the CD if you have set the BIOS correctly. If you've not
set it to boot from the CD, then it won't. Have you done so?

Its not reading the CD or not going beyond the bios routine which you are
describing?
