Update, runout of time

When I'm trying to download the latest updates for XP
home, my internet link will not go beyond 2 hours. Which
is very annoying, when the latest down load is 4+ hours.
Is there a cure?

Which update is this? and you would seem to have "dial up" access, =
that also has a time governor.

If this is Service pack for XP, you can get it on CD.

You are a good candidate for getting "Internet Download Manager".

IDM is ideal for downloading the full file (the Network Install option) =
whether you are on dialup or on broadband.
It will actually manage to resume a disconnect by doing a redial & =
resuming from where it was.
