Select Control Panel, User Accounts, and determine among
the listed accounts which one you are using. Under each
account, it should say "Limited" or "Computer
Administrator." Symantec implies that you must be logged
in as "Computer Administrator" to apply the patch
(FIXBLAST.EXE).

When I applied this patch for a client, I turned
off "System Restore" and booted up in "Safe Mode" as
recommended by Symantec. Consider this prior to applying
the patch. And make sure you can download the patch from
Microsoft immediately after you have removed the worm.
