View Full Version : Keyboard problem

I realised when I went to do the @ symbol, that the " and=20
@ keys had swapped. Then I realised that a few other=20
keys had changed also. I cannot find hash, which should=20
be over the 3 key. It has changed to =A3. I have tried=20
different language settings to no avail.
I have no idea of the keyboard manufacturer. A friend=20
gave it to me and says that he has no driver software for=20
it. All I can find on it is Model number: MCK-2000. I=20
am pretty sure it is a real cheapy of a keyboard.
Any ideas would be appreciated !!

Do you have the right English setting setting in Control
Panel\Regional and Language? English (Australia) rather than English
(UK)?

Thanks for the tip Maureen. I sorted it after reading=20
your reply. I didn't realise there was settings for=20
Australia, although I must have set them previously !! I=20
also didn't realise there was so many places where you=20
could change language settings. I found one for keyboard=20
language which I am sure I have never seen before.
I don't know how the settings were changed as I am the=20
only person to use the computer,
~!@#$%^&*()_+{}|:"<>?
`1234567890-=3D[]\;',./
Thanks again Maureen,
Andrew Warren
P.S. are you a tattoist? I see you have inkslinger in=20
your e-mail address.

No, I used to write professionally. More accurately, I guess that I
slung pixels since precious little ink was involved. And you're
welcome.

Greetings --
Check your input method & language under the Control Panel's
Regional and Language Options. It sounds like you're using the wrong
version of English for your location.
Start > Control Panel > Regional and Language Options, make sure
that "Standards and formats" and "Location" are correct. Start >
Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Languages > Details >
Default Input Language.
