I need any available help please. when I click on start the run and put in
msconfig and click o.k. it comes up the menu for your selecting start up but
only for a second then it disappears. I am trying to take some things out
but it wont give me the screen long enough. any information would be greatly

I'm not going to be much help but I saw this problem in another forum on this site many times. It is a well known problem so do a search on the site to find the cure. sorry but my memory is short and I have a beer in my hand!

Hi James,

This behavior can be caused by a virus. One of three:

W32.Spybot.Worm
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.spybot.worm.html

W32.Klez.Worm

W32.Yaha.Worm

If these don't apply in your case, run all of these:

Ad-Aware

Spybot

CWShredder (Line 313)
