After upgrading to win XP. my modem did not work, so I
downloaded the XP drivers and was successful in getting my
modem to work. However when I reboot, by system hangs
during the reboot, and I have to revert to last successful
boot, which contains no modem drivers, I then go through
the loop again.
My modem is an ESS 56K PCI, and worked OK under win 98SE.
If I can get Win XP to accept the drivers and allow the
modem to work, why can't I get the system to re-boot with
these drivers?
