I've just lost my 'connected' icon in system tray plus, in Network
connections, my dial up doesn't appear any more.

Running XP Home.

Any help would be appreciated,

thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Open up the network connections folder and right click the connection of which you want the icon to
appear, and select properties. Put a check next to 'Show icon in notification area'.

Hi Mike,

Have you disabled the Volume Icon? Either way, try the edit on line 320:

thanks for the help but I have cleared the problem by using System Restore.
Oddly, I had to go back to the Restore Point immediately prior to installing
a Windows update XP KB840374 before I got my connections back and the icon
in system tray. Coincidence?

Thanks again,

Mike
