Hi!
I have an external USB2.0/Firewire case for 3.5" Harddrives ATA-100 and
WinXP.
A 80GB HDD works fine via USB, yet my 250GB drive just won't show in the
explorer.
It is connected correctly. The "safely remove hardware" dialogue shows the
drive and its name.
I have tried it on two machines with XP Pro and USB1.1 and on one with XP
Home and USB2.0.
The USB ports shouldnt matter since its all said to be compatible.
Does anybody know why the big HDD wont work?
Can it be the usb case? or do i need some driver updates?
Is there a general size limit for USB mass storage?
thanks,
jochen
