xp not seeing my cd-rom

Can someone please help! Windows xp will not read any of
my built in cd-rom. Ive run a virus scanner,unplugged it
and none of that seems to work. does anyone know whats
wrong?

Does the BIOS detect it?

Is the ide connection the cd is on on auto
in the BIOS?

I take it, the power to the cd is going

BUT nothing (no cds work on it).

See there is a conflict, in device manager.
