I am unable to delete a user from my HP Pavilion 7940. I
have contacted HP about this, and they say it's a Windows
XP issue.
When I go into control panel to delete the user account,
the computer hangs up. It has done this repeatedly, even
when I try re-booting, or try saving the user's files on
my desktop, or try not saving the files. When I watch
windows task manager performance charts, the CPU usage
briefly goes up to 100% every time I try to remove this
user account. My virus definitions are completely up-to-
date, and I have run a system scan both using the virus
definitions on the computer, and using Norton's online
scan.
I suspect this is something to do with Kazaa, because I
am also unable to delete the Kazaa Media Desktop program
using the Remove Programs function in the control panel.
I get an error message that says something like "error
loading file C:/Windows?System32/cd_clint.dll. The
module could not be found."
I went to Kazaa's site, and they said if this problem
occurs, simply remove all the contents of the Kazaa file
in the Programs directory, and I did so, but still the
Kazaa Media Desktop shows up in the add/remove programs
list when I open it in control panel.
I hope someone can help with this.
