If you want to make an MP3 data CD you just use the Windows XP CD Burning
Features. Not in WMP.

Drag them to the drive letter of the CD burner. A prompt should appear
that "there are files waiting to be written to CD: click this balloon."
After the files load fully, click "write these files to CD".
See HELP & SUPPORT for details.

You can also create a playlist of the MP3 you want on the CD then go to the
"copy to CD or device" in the WM9 I/F, select the playlist from the dropdown
"Select Playlist to Copy" then hit the little red "Copy" button on the top
right hand of the WM9 GUI.
