I have xp and can not figure out how to remove the Real
One program from my start up menu. If I go into
msconfig, under start up and uncheck the program, it
changes my system from normal to selective start up. Is
this the only way to add or remove programs from the
start up menu. I dont want it to open every time I start
my system?

Get rid of the whole shebang,
Download *Realplayer 8* (NOT RealPlayerOne) from:
http://www.oldversion.com/
It's far less intrusive, but be careful how you set it up.

Any time you change how some thing start up on your compter, you will get
the message Selective Startup, nothing wrong with that. It is what you have
done, you start your computer as you wish and not how someone else or
Microsoft would do the job.

Next time opens, check off box where says something
"you are using selective startup, blah, blah, blah, do not show
again" and won't see again on reboots

Here is a list of all the places from which things can launch at startup,
and how to manage them directly:

If you go to Start / All Programs / Startup, and delete the item there you
will have a Normal Startup at msconfig.
