I have a problem with my system seeing my mouse on the PS2
port. At times, I also lose an additional mouse, that I
plug into a USB port, when I lose the PS2 mouse. I can
usually reboot and replug the USB mouse and get it working
but no luck with the PS2 mouse. When I go to the device
manager it won't show anything for the disabled mouse.
Also when I try to use the install new hardware wizzard no
mouse is detected or even offered in the hardware
listings,for selection and installation of drivers. Do I
have a worm, or a cracker futzing with my system? Is
anyone else having a symilar problem? I have the XP Pro
Firewall enabled, McAfee Firewall enabled, & McAfee Virus
Scan Pro enabled all with the latest patches installed,
from instant updater.
