As far as good books go,try microsoft publishing.
The new editions on xp are about as complete as they
get.As for the computer,how much junk is on the desktop,
eliminating as much as you can will speed up the initial
time,keep it as simple as you can,if speed is lacking,
look at an on-line gamers configuration.They dont always
know the computer tech.but they sure know speed.
