video problem

Okay, here's the deal. I have an Athlon 800 with 256 mb
RAM, and a Radeon 9000 pro AGP video card. I'm running
Windows ME (yeah, I know), but I want to install WindowsXP
(I purchased the Home edition). But after I install it,
when I install the XP driver and reboot, the Windows
screen comes up (the one that shows Windows is loading
with the moving bar) and then it just goes BLACK. Nothing.
Nada.

I tried replacing the video card (figuring it was an AGP
problem) but the same thing happened with the Geforce2 I
put in (also an AGP).

So I'm stuck with ME unless someone can tell me what's
happening here and how to fix it.

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated!
