I worked fine with Windows 2000 and Office 2000 last
couple of years. My new laptop came with XP Pro UK, and I
installed my Office 2000 Premium UK.
As an experienced user, I work with Access frequently. A
small Access database runs fine on another Windows 2000
machine, and even on my client's XP machine.
But on my laptop, it doesn't. Queries show white pages,
and only scrolling the cursor through the cells shows the
content of the individual fields.
When opening the tables, Access just quits or stalls. When
quitting it doesn't send a problem report to Microsoft.
Macros and the underlying Visual Basic programs run fine.
All the necessary updates have been installed. Excel and
Word work great.
