CD writer software conflict Easy CD 4

I installed Adaptec Easy CD creator 4 soon after
installing XP, and was informed that version 4 had
conflicts. So I uninstalled it. when I rebooted I was
told that XP still had this driver conflict ("cd writer
software is causing a problem...")and that certain
drivers would not be loaded and windows had booted up in
a diagnostic mode. I then went to the registry and
removed all reference to Adaptec. Upon rebooting I still
got this problem. Anyone know how I can find the name of
the file or files that is/are causing the problem?
