Hi Everyone,
When I use WinZip or WinRar, I receive the following messages:
"Unable to open file .CAB"
"The archive is either unknown or format damaged"
Can anyone help please?
Thanks a lot.

Hello
Means that the file that you downloded maybe corrupted
so try and re-download the file again.

Thanks Alvin,
Under Windows 98, everything is ok. But not with XP. Same file and same
sender.
Thanks

Some .CAB files that are created using non-microsoft installation program are
not exactly the same format as those that are supplied with Windows (all
versions), so WinZip, WinRAR, and even Windows' own cab viewer can't access
them.
When using Windows' CAB viewer, which open a CAB like a folder, the folder is an
empty one, even though it's size is many Mb. That doesn't automatically mean
that the CAB file is damage in any way.
Hope this help

Does the .cab name (or any file in it) contain foreign characters?
Is your win98 non-English?
