My pc was working fine unitl this morning when i
downloaded service pack 3 for win 2000. After everything
was downloaded, checked for space, backed up and installed
various files, the pc restarted itself... then instead of
getting a logon window, a window popped up saying
that "Winlogon has generated some errors and will be
closed by Windows. you will have to restart the program.
An error log is being created".
then the pc restarts itself until the same error message
appears and this repeats over and over again. is there
anyway i can fix this situation or is everything on my pc
lost forever!!! can anyone help please_

You will probably get better results if you tried posting to the Win 2000
NG.

Boot off the Windows 2000 CD and use the REcovery Console to repair
your system. Or try a REpair install to fix it.
