Sound Hardware problem after installing SP1??

I cannot get the sound to work after installing SP1. The
following message comes up "Windows cannot load the
device driver for this hardware. The driver may be
corrupted or missing. (Code 39)" I tried the Sound
troubleshooter without any success.
Anyone knows how to solve this?

Can you provide soundcard type or modell or even your
pc type, one would be better able to help with this info
