Hard drive replacement, reactivate XP

I am thinking of replacing my hard drive. Will Win XP
reactivate after doing so? Will I have to call microsoft
to do so.
Any suggestions will help.

XP will have to be reactivated if you do a clean install on the new HD.
Many HD manufacturers will include a utility to image an old drive onto a
new drive. Check in the package that the new drive came in for a disk.

If you do a new install and it does not activate automatically over the
internet, you will have to call the phone number provided and then you will
get the code needed to reactivate.
