I am having trouble burning to disc from my samsung
CDRW/DVD SM-308B on my XP imedia, I have just updated a
fix from Packard Bell that is supposed to cure the burning
and playing problems of the drive but to no avail. I keep
getting the "No quality sink has been defined" error
message. Any ideas? The player will play pre recorded
discs and dvds but will not let me burn my own. When
trying to burn through media player, as soon as the record
track is chosen it says the file is too big, I have tons
of capacity so there is no prblem there.

Sounds like you have the drives on the same IDE channel and your machine
cannot handle the data flow. Have you tried shutting down all non-essential
processes and programs?
