I have a user running Windows XP who is not being notified
when his domain password should expire. Our domain is all
NT servers with passwords set to 30 days before
expiration. I have verified that his user account is
configured properly.

This is the problem with XP; to speed up the boot process XP does not wait for the network to start before you logon. This causes, group policy, logon scripts not to run. To work around this problem, turn on the following group policy or local group policy: Computer\Administrative Templates\System\logon\Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon.
