My Dialup connection looses its connection after just a few...........

I seem to loose my dial up connection, or at least part of it after just a
few minutes and can't seem to see any reason for this.

What I see happen is the icon in (I think it's called) the system tray.
Bottom RH corner of the screen. The icon has two PC's and when all is
working well both PC's light up. When things go south, only one of the PC's
lights up. I have to disconnect and then reconnect to get things going
again.

Any idea why this is going on?

Any ideas on how to trouble shoot this??

How long do you wait til you decide you lost your connection? Most times
this is caused by the ISPs server and not the users PC.
