I have Windows XP update set so it will keep the computer up to date
by downloading updates automatically and installs them when it prompts
me. How do I tell whether windows update has installed xp SP1 or not?
Thanks.

Download and run Belarc Adviser. It will tell you if the updates (hotfixes)
are installed properly. Belarc Adviser is free.

Start - Run Winver
If that says 'Service Pack 1' then it is installed - otherwise some part
is missing
