View Full Version : [Help] Possibly related to the infamous SLOW network browse problem

I've searched the archives, and can't seem to find anything related
to this problem: We experience the "usual" slow scan of network
drives through Explorer. We're just living with that. However, the
problem I'd like to get solved is the fact that we can't delete files
on the network drive. We have to move the file to the desktop
and THEN delete. No problem moving files to the desktop. No
problem deleting them once they're on the desktop. It just won't
work on the network.

What actually happens when we try to delete them on the network
is that the computer displays a "percentage complete" dialog box,
and pauses for 30 seconds to a minute. Then it displays a message
that the file is in use. From time to time, it works OK. Most of
the time, though, it refuses to delete the file unless we move it to
the desktop or a local drive.

Any suggestions? Thanks, in advance, for your help.
