Hello. I need help with the paging file settings on
windows xp. When I try to log into my computer it locks
up and xp will not start unless I hit Ctrl - Alt -
Delete. When I try to change the paging file it will not
change and is currentley stuck on 0. I have tried
reinstalling xp twice and am considering $&!# canning the
whole operating system. Does anyone have an idea???
Thanks Joe

I can't help you but I had a similar problem after I did a repair on the XP
operating system. I ended up doing a clean install.

See MVP Alex Nichol's article on virtual memory management in Windows
XP at http://aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.htm especially the section dealing
with problems.

Good luck
