Connect the gamepad to the PC and go to the Control Panel. Click on Game
Controllers and use the AutoDetect feature. XP has the drivers built in.

I can't find the auto detect anywhere.
ok i am really getting annoyed now, i downloaded the latest direct x and
devices for my sound card and the bloody thing still wont work
I go to control panel and then it stays under the USB devices that it does
not reconginze it when i click on that it says that there is no driver
installed when i click to detect or find a driver it then says that the
best one is already installed but there isn't one at all!! i don't get it
stupid thing!
could it have anything to do with the fact that it is meant to be connected
to a game port - my new pc does not have one so i got a connector so it goes
into the USB port instead - is that what is wrong??
