Hi,
we've purchased Windows XP Home upgrade from a store and
installed it on a Pentium 233. The OS runs in fact worse
off than it did when running Windows 98, even when it
looked graphically the same, it had stability issues and
it was not very comfortable to use. We have recently
purchased a new computer and are wishing to install
Windows XP onto it, for we are sure that it will run much
better. I was wondering if there is anyone I can contact
within the corporation who would know how to de-license a
computer from Windows XP, since it is just now sitting
uninstalled, doing nothing and the 98 is back up on the
machine. Now if this can't be done, and I'm sure theres
some kind of disagreement to this in the EULA, but really
its an old machine, it was 150 bucks (Canadian) and its
now just sitting rendered useless due to a machine which
can barely handle it. So I'm only hoping that this could
be possible, and thank you for reading.
