Problem with dual monitor feature

I've just got a laptop running windows xp and have hooked
up a spare monitor. Is there anyway I can view two
different web pages in each monitor?
I've dragged the explorer icon to the spare monitor but
when I open it, it opens up on the primary (laptop)
monitor!
How do I actually get to open up files/web pages on my
secondary monitor?
If anyone could give me a simple run through on how to do
this I would be most grateful.

Using just Windows:
Open an Internet Explorer window. Open a second one. The window that you
are going to move, cannot be maximized. Drag it by the title bar over to
the second monitor. IE will open wherever you closed it last so you may
have to move windows over whenever you need/want them.

Third party solutions:
"Virtual desktop" software could be used to save and reload a workspace.

Realtimesoft (www.realtimesoft.com) puts out a program called 'Ultra Mon"
that performs all kinds of nifty little tasks on multimonitor setups.
