Pressing Ctrl Alt Del in XP brings up a option that tells
me I have 44 procceses running with no programs running
and a CPU usage of 95% plus.
The only thing that seems to make a difference after
closing is the 6 in 1 usb connected card adaptor which
when closed brings the CPU usage down to 10%. This
adaptor is running through a 6way adaptor port (belkin)

Any ideas of how I can sort this as the only way I seem
to be able to run at the moment is to disable it and
start it when I need it
