Beautiful. I was all over settings and tools so I thought and missed
this--long day. Thanks so much. I'll have to read up on Resident and Tea
Timer and you're right there is a forum on their site and others but I
thought there could be some Windows related reason or other file/app doing
this. Thanks for knocking this out of the park so quickly Chuck. That box
was up there every 1.5 seconds--I was getting carpal tunnel. There are some
nice informational features in settings and tools that Windows would do
well to have.

You're welcome. I don't know if you know what "Avenue A" is, but Spybot S&D
was telling you about ads and/or cookies it blocked.

Chad,
I can't believe I missed the better, fairly obvious solution. You can leave
Spybot S&D Resident running, but right-click on it's icon in the 'tray', by
the clock. Several options will present themselves. Check 'Block all bad
pages silently' and you will still have the benefit of using Spybot S&D
Resident, but will no longer be bothered by the pop-up dialogue boxes.

Add this to your arsenal.

2) SpywareBlaster
[[SpywareBlaster doesn't scan and clean for spyware - it prevents it from
ever being installed.
The most important step you can take is to secure your system. And
SpywareBlaster is the most powerful protection program available.]]
