upgrading XP home OS to XP Pro

I want to upgrade the Win XP home OS on my Dell 5150
laptop to XP Pro. Has anybody done this or do you know if
it will be a problem.

it will work just fine. Just purchase an Windows XP Professional Upgrade.

The only problem will be with the warranty (if it's still under warranty,
that is). Replacing the OS is considered a 'significant alteration' and Dell
will refuse to honour their warranty (read the small print). Laptop parts
can be costly...think very carefully before doing anything...
