Right Click - New - To many choices.

To many choices - would like to remove some...
PROBLEM
Right Click on wallpaper...or in a folder view.
Click on "New"
Screen opens with
x Folder
x Shortcut
--------------
x Bitmap Image
x ACDSee Image Sequence
x Briefcase
x - a total of 26 - THAT I NEVER USE

How does one get rid of these "shortcuts"
It seems to slow my system down - when all I want is to
create a new folder....

Download Tweak UI for WinXP from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/home/downloads/powertoys.asp.

From Tweak UI, select Templates on the left side and uncheck all (or those
you don't want) document templates.

I deleted those that I knew I would never use
and "unchecked" those I may want in the furter..
The time savings is amazing.
I had forgotten about TWEAK UI. . .
