After receiving the SHUTDOWN message you can prevent the
system from shutting down by going to Start, Run and
typing SHUTDOWN -A

Read the article, enable your Firewall (built in to
Windows), do all of the Windows Critical Updates, run
antivirus and anti-spyware software and . . . Good Luck !
