We have XP home version and we set up a home network. The
problem is my other pc isn't XP it is ME and when we try
to access the XP it asks for a password, even though we
never setup one.
What do we do?

Try logging on to the ME machine with the same user name as is being used on
the XP machine.

Open Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder
Options/View tick use simple file
sharing. Make a folder / share the
folder u wanna share on XP then
try and access it from ME.

Also, r u using a crossover cable or hub?

You need the crossover, if u're not
using a hub. It wont work if you connect
straight from the ME PC to the XP PC.

Also on the XP and ME PC, are file
and printer sharing ticked?
