The best way to remove them is to open each one (right-
click on the icon) and see if there's an option to prevent
them from starting automatically. Otherwise, you can run
the MSCONFIG utility, Startup tab and uncheck them
individually. See this:

It's possible that some are spyware programs. Search
Google for the filenames or look here:
http://www.safersite.com/pestinfo/
I hope you're running anti-virus and anti-spyware programs.
You are wise to be suspicious, not only for malevolent
programs but also because sofware vendors will do ANYTHING
to put their name in your face. RealPlayer, QuickTime,
etc. are prime examples. Due diligence pays dividends.
